Taking Your Orthodontic Records
When you arrive at Ortho Co, we will start a process that we call ‘taking records’. This process includes taking clinical photographs of your teeth, your smile and your facial profile. Our clinic team may also take a 3D digital impression of your teeth which we may later use when planning your orthodontic treatment should you decide to start your journey with us.
Once the photographs and digital impressions have been taken, we may then need to take an x-ray. Our orthodontic x-ray includes a comprehensive view of your teeth, facial profile and jaws. These x-rays are important to assess the health of your teeth and jaw bone, along with measuring the position of the upper and lower jaw bones.
Time For Your Consultation
Once your orthodontic records have been completed, you will be guided to our consultation room to meet our specialist orthodontist. Our treatment team will listen to your smile goals and understand any concerns you may have about starting. Our Orthodontist will take the time to explain which orthodontic appliance (such as braces or clear aligners) may suit you best. You may prefer the discreet look of clear aligners and the good news is that at Ortho Co, we have the experience to correct both mild and complex cases with clear aligners. We will always recommend the orthodontic appliance that will give you your best outcome in the most comfortable way possible.
